The data makes interesting reading and is highly relevant in the "battle for eyeballs". As the data has a US bias, fact #1 is probably somewhat less of a factor here in Australia than in the US. Australian organisations have an opportunity to get ahead of the pack if they act now to integrate social media into their online presence.

At g2m Solutions we work constantly with our clients to develop new content and particularly to blog. Blogging is the single best way to regularly generate new indexable pages for the search engines to find. (In fact we are so convinced we wrote a free eBook for you to download!) Similarly, we know it's not all about the search engines and a content rich blog focused on your prospect's issues and challenges is critical in developing a genuinely valuable relationship with your target audience.

Hot tip: Leverage the effort you have put into your blog and offer to guest blog on influential blogs in your sector. This will do wonders for your "off page SEO" in plain speak, getting on the front page in search results.
